Industrial I/O Product Lines
Signal conditioning circuits improve
the quality of signals generated
by transducers before they are
converted into digital signals
by the PC’s data acquisition
hardware. Examples of signal
conditioning are signal scaling,
amplification, linearization, cold-
junction compensation, filtering,
attenuation, excitation, common-
mode rejection, and so on. The
ADAM-3000 series covers a wide
range of signals from DC micro
voltage to AC 400 V; and from
mini-amp to 5 amp signals.
Every item of data acquisition
hardware generally performs one
or more of the following functions:
analog input, analog output, digital
input, digital output, counter/
timer, and GPIB. Advantech

interfaces, including USB, PCI,
ISA, CompactPCI, PC/104 and
