3.4 Verify your Operating System Driver Setup

After you have installed your card, go to Control Panel/System/Device Manager to

look for the Device Name that will appear after you have installed the driver.

You can also check the COM Port properties by double-clicking the specific com port

device configuration you want to see. On the Properties sheet, select the specific

tabs to see relevant information.

On the General tab, you can see whether the device is working properly. If your

device functions normally, you can see a message under the Device status box, stat-

ing “This device is working properly”.

Note! If your device has not been properly installed, there will be an exclama-

tion mark (!) on the device name to indicate a conflicting device. If this is

the case, just remove that device and start the driver installation process

all over again.
