Directly inputs byte data from a specified port of a defined device using the device number.

Input:

Data type Parameter Description

DevNum The device number of the hardware installed in the

system by “DEVINST.EXE”

Port The port number of specified device

error in A cluster containing error information, such as the

status, code, and source elements that is passed from

a previous linked VI.

Output:

Data type

Parameter Description

Data Byte data read from the specified port.

indicated an error, the status, code, and source

elements of error out have the same values as the
